SMAS de Sintra will move forward with a leak detection operation in the municipality's water network. The initiative will last three years and aims to locate and identify losses in the public water supply system.
The operation comes in a context where water losses in Sintra stand at 17.8%, a value that represents a significant amount of water wasted in the municipality's distribution network.
During this three-year period, SMAS de Sintra teams will carry out continuous monitoring and leak detection work, allowing them to identify problem points in the network and proceed with the respective repairs.
With this intervention, the Municipal Water and Sanitation Services of Sintra intend to reduce water losses in the public supply system, contributing to more efficient management of the municipality's water resources.
