The Territorial Command of Castelo Branco of the National Republican Guard recorded 163 domestic violence crimes during the first half of the year. This number refers to crimes reported in the area under the jurisdiction of this territorial command.

During this period, the Specialized Investigation and Support Unit for Specific Victims (NIAVE), a specialized structure of the GNR, carried out 16 detentions as part of its activity related to domestic violence cases.

Domestic violence continues to be one of the main concerns of authorities in the Castelo Branco region, with NIAVE playing a fundamental role in supporting victims and investigating these crimes.
