A speedboat associated with drug trafficking was found grounded in the early hours of this Friday on Moledo beach, in Caminha. The alert was given by local residents around 00:00, and the vessel was placed under the custody of the local command of the Maritime Police of Caminha.
The port captain of Caminha, Fernando Pereira, stated that the vessel was not carrying narcotics at the time it was found. The vessel is not registered and is typically associated with drug trafficking.
The case is being investigated by the Judicial Police, to which the investigation was forwarded. Fernando Pereira revealed that efforts are being made, together with the Caminha City Council, to remove the speedboat from the sand of Moledo beach.
