After a start to the season marked by some turbulence, Benfica finally seems to have found stability. The consecutive thrashings against Marítimo, 3-0, and Moreirense, 4-0, demonstrate a team that is starting to get going and has found an offensive formula capable of putting opponents in serious difficulty.
Marco Silva seems to have got the attacking pieces right, but this evolution could represent a problem for Georgiy Sudakov. The Armenian international continues to be one of the great bets of the encarnado project, but is slow to transform recognized potential into concrete numbers.
Benfica invested €20.25 million in the midfielder, which could increase by another €6.75 million in objectives, but the return presented so far is reduced. Since the start of the 2026/27 season, Sudakov has participated in all 11 official matches of the águias, being a starter in ten and used as a substitute on only one occasion. Still, he has only one assist to his name.
