About fifty people participated today in a protest near the new Barbosa du Bocage School Centre, in Setúbal, which was inaugurated today by the prime minister to mark the start of the school year.
The demonstrators shouted slogans to demand the valorization of public schools, salary increases, the maintenance of Social Security in the public sector and the valorization of the National Health Service.
In statements to the news agency Lusitanas (Lusa), the coordinator of the Setúbal Union of Trade Unions, who was part of the protest, was making statements to the media at the moment the article ends.
