Helena Leal defends suicide prevention as the responsibility of the entire community

Helena Leal, councilor at the Funchal City Council with the health portfolio, defended this Friday that suicide prevention must be assumed as the responsibility of the entire community. Helena Leal expressed this position at the opening of a conference dedicated to World Suicide Prevention Day, held in the Municipal Assembly Hall of Funchal. According to the councilor, suicide prevention should not be limited only to health services, and should also involve schools, social institutions, associations, families, security forces and local authorities in the fight against this issue.
