Aerial images released by the Philippine Coast Guard show the destruction on the ferry that caught fire on Thursday near a tourist destination in Palawan province. The boat was completely consumed by fire, revealing the extent of the damage caused by the incident.

At least five people died in the fire and 84 others are missing. Authorities have not yet been able to determine the total number of passengers and crew who were on board the ferry at the time of the accident.

The rescue operation was suspended overnight due to dangerous conditions at the site. The smoke and intense heat caused by the fire prevented rescue teams from continuing the search during the nighttime period.
