WxW – Winner Against Winner, a Portuguese eyewear brand founded by Luís Moreira, originally from Valongo and residing in Rebordosa, will represent national production at SILMO Paris 2026, one of the most important international trade shows dedicated to optics and eyewear, which takes place from September 25 to 28 in Paris.
The brand was born with the ambition to create in Portugal glasses capable of competing internationally, recovering and valuing the artisanal knowledge associated with frame manufacturing. The pieces are developed and produced locally, with much of the work done by hand, combining traditional techniques with a contemporary language.
During the four days of the trade show, WxW will be present alongside the major worldwide brands in the sector, with its own booth, and will also present pieces nominated for the SILMO d'Or 2026, awards considered among the most prestigious international distinctions in the optical industry.
For Luís Moreira, maintaining production in Rebordosa while promoting the brand in Paris is an essential part of the project. The brand name reflects his philosophy: Winner Against Winner represents each person's competition with themselves, materialized in the motto "Victory is a state of mind." Participation in SILMO Paris 2026 marks another stage in WxW's internationalization journey, with the goal of taking Portuguese know-how further and further.
