Quercus welcomes the Government's decision to proceed with a study on high-level water supply to the Setúbal district. The proposed solution involves the transfer of water from the Castelo de Bode reservoir and the Tagus River.
For the environmental organization, this is a strategic and prudent solution, which could contribute to reinforcing the region's water security. Quercus recognizes the importance of diversifying water supply sources for the district.
The study comes in a context of concern over the scarcity of water resources and the need to guarantee medium and long-term supply of drinking water for the population of the Setúbal area.
