A group of children aged 3 to 5 participated in an experience dedicated to discovering the harvest and the wine-growing tradition of the Douro at Casa de Mateus. The activity, integrated into the Foundation's educational programs, allowed the youngest participants to come into direct contact with a practice linked to the identity of the region.
The stomping of grapes became one of the central moments of the initiative, providing children with a practical and immersive experience. Through this activity, participants learned about the historical relationship of Casa de Mateus with its vineyards and wine production.
The initiative took place in the Adega of Casa de Mateus, a space classified as a National Monument. The main objective was to bring new generations closer to the heritage and wine-growing traditions of the Duriense territory.
