Several fires destroyed 42 tents housing migrants in the Spanish autonomous region of Ceuta during the last night. The fires completely consumed the tents, leaving many migrants homeless.
In addition to the tents, the fires also destroyed eight vehicles and trash containers at different points in the territory of Ceuta. The extent of the damage is still being assessed by local authorities.
The causes of the fires have not yet been officially confirmed. Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the start of the fires that affected the area where the migrants were housed.
