The expansion of the fiber optic network is advancing in the municipality of Alijó, with approximately 600 new households that should gain access to next-generation broadband services. The works, currently being carried out by the company dstelecom, should be completed by the end of the year.
This intervention will allow raising fiber optic coverage to approximately 98% of the municipal territory. The localities covered include Cotas, Vale de Mendiz, Casal de Loivos, Vilarinho de Cotas and Póvoa, covering different areas of the municipality.
The investment aims to improve connectivity for families, businesses and local institutions. It also aims to contribute to reducing inequalities in access to the network and strengthening the territorial cohesion of Alijó.
