UA: Researcher António Baía Reis Joins Winning Team for an Emmy in 2026

António Baía Reis, researcher at DigiMedia – Digital Media and Interaction Research Centre at the University of Aveiro, participated as a creative researcher and member of the Ferryman Collective in the project "Uncanny Alley: A New Day", which won the 2026 Emmy for Outstanding.

The researcher considered this Emmy important not only for the recognition of the production, but also because it gives visibility to a still emerging practice, situated at the intersection of live performance, virtual reality, artistic research and experience design.

AECT Rio Minho will promote a free course on "Statistical Data Research and Use with Artificial Intelligence" between September 15 and 18, lasting five hours, combining theory and practice on generative AI, prompt engineering, data research, business analytics, Power BI and information visualization.
