Shepherds who suffered losses due to wolf attacks should be compensated promptly, according to two rulers who announced this measure. The decision aims to streamline the entire compensation process for those affected by these attacks.
According to the news, this measure will accelerate and simplify the administrative and financial procedures necessary to assess the damages caused by wolves to the shepherds' flocks.
The rulers established a maximum deadline of 20 working days for the assessment of losses. Payments shall be made by the end of the following month after the completion of this assessment.
This decision takes effect from January 1, 2027, the date from which the new compensation procedures will take effect to protect shepherds affected by wolf attacks.
