The trial of two police officers accused of torture at the Rato police station will take place behind closed doors. The two defendants face charges related to crimes committed in the course of their duties at the mentioned police station.
The main defendant is 22 years old and has been in preventive detention since he was arrested in July 2025. This police officer faces a total of 29 crimes. The second defendant, aged 26, is accused of seven crimes.
Both police officers are suspected of having committed acts of torture while exercising their duties at the Rato police station. The trial is taking place behind closed doors, which means the public and the media do not have access to the sessions.
