The Union of Pre-Hospital Emergency Technicians (STEPH), the Health Ministry and INEM will meet this Friday in an attempt to reach an agreement that would cancel the strike scheduled for the 14th and 28th of this month. The meeting takes place in a context of labor conflict between pre-hospital emergency technicians and the employers. STEPH represents the professionals who perform essential functions in the pre-hospital emergency medical service in Portugal. INEM is the National Institute of Medical Emergency, responsible for the coordination and management of emergency medical services in the country. The Health Ministry participates as a mediator and entity responsible for defining public health policies. This negotiation aims to find a solution that satisfies the workers' demands while ensuring the continuity of emergency services for the population.
