The national coordinator of Left Bloc (BE), José Manuel Pureza, considered today that the new supplement for pensioners and IRS relief up to the sixth bracket are insufficient measures. Pureza accused the Government of announcing "crumbs" already "swallowed" given the new interest rate hike. The statements come in the context of the Executive's response to the population's economic concerns, at a time of monetary tightening. BE maintains its critical position regarding the Government's policies, considering that the announced measures are not sufficient to protect citizens from the effects of the interest rate rise.
