Young people from São Miguel and Cascais in an employability project

A total of 29 young people from São Miguel and Cascais began their participation in the "VAIVÉM" pilot employability project. The project aims to provide participants with a work-based learning experience, through professional internships.

The selected young people will have the opportunity to develop professional skills while carrying out internships in different work environments. This practical experience complements the training they already have.

In addition to internships, the project also includes a mobility component, allowing participants to acquire professional experience outside their place of origin. This mobility aims to enrich the training and professional journey of the young people involved in the program.

Faro assumes management of the commercial quay and prepares marina for 500 vessels

The Municipality of Faro will assume, from September 18, the management of the commercial quay, until now managed by the Port Administration of Sines and the Algarve, allowing the "Mar Hub" project to move forward. This first stage includes the creation of a natural marina in the inner area of the quay, with capacity for approximately 500 vessels, as well as other functions related to nautical activities and research. The environmental impact study should begin within one or two months. The mayor of Faro, António Miguel Pina, highlighted that the intervention represents an opportunity to transform Faro's relationship with the sea, combining tourism, heritage, culture and economic activity, combating seasonality and creating employment throughout the year.

MOBI.E assumes role as Data Aggregating Entity for Electric Mobility

MOBI.E officially assumed the functions of Data Aggregating Entity for Electric Mobility (DAEEM), marking a historic milestone for the centralization of information on the national charging infrastructure. The first Charging Point Operators successfully completed integration testing on the new platform, enabling fully integrated and real-time information on the entire national network to be made available for the first time. This transformation results from the new Legal Framework for Electric Mobility and European Regulation 2023/1804 (AFIR), which obliges all public access charging point operators to share their station data free of charge. Electric vehicle drivers now have centralized access to data such as location, technical characteristics, payment methods, prices, and real-time availability. MOBI.E acts as an intermediary between private operators and the National Access Point (NAP), managed by IMT, collecting, structuring, and harmonizing data according to the standards defined by the European Union.
