Public transport fare-free policy quadruples passes issued in Viseu

The fare-free public transport policy in Viseu led to a significant increase in the issuance of passes. As of last Tuesday, more than 4,200 passes had been issued, representing a value four times higher than was usual before the implementation of this measure. This substantial increase demonstrates the direct impact of the free transport policy on citizen participation in the public transport system. The municipality of Viseu implemented this measure to promote sustainable mobility and facilitate residents' access to collective transport.
