PL presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro said on Thursday that the Federal Police operation on the "Dark Horse" film, a biopic about his father, former President Jair Bolsonaro, is an attempt at "political interference" in the elections. During an agenda in Roraima, the senator said the film "doesn't have a single cent of public money."
The action was authorized by Minister Flavio Dino, of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), and investigates suspicions of deviation of parliamentary amendments destined to entities linked to the production of the film. The Federal Police carried out 49 search and seizure warrants in four states and the Federal District.
Among the targets of the operation is deputy Mario Frias (PL-SP), who allocated R$ 2 million in amendments to an entity linked to the production of the film. The investigation examines the possible improper use of public resources in the biopic of former President Jair Bolsonaro.
