The Agricultural Federation of the Azores (FAA) advocated that the extraordinary support of 10 cents per liter for agricultural diesel, extended by the Republic's Government to remain in effect until the end of 2026, should also be applied to Azorean farmers.
The FAA argues that Azorean farmers should benefit from the same support conditions as the remaining national producers, considering this measure essential for the competitiveness of the agricultural sector in the region.
The Republic's Executive recently extended this diesel agricultural price bonus, recognizing the importance of fuel for agricultural activity throughout the national territory.
The Federation thus intends to ensure that Azorean producers are not excluded from this support measure, at a time when production costs continue to pressure the primary sector in the region.
