The Public Prosecutor's Office requested this Thursday the conviction of Manuel Emídio, the helmsman of the vessel and sole survivor of the shipwreck that occurred off Troia, in April 2024. The minimum sentence requested is five years.
The shipwreck caused the death of four people, including an 11-year-old boy. Manuel Emídio was the helmsman of the vessel that shipwrecked. The trial took place this Thursday, when the Public Prosecutor's Office presented its conviction request.
