The European Commission is preparing a renewable energy reform for the post-2030 period, at a time when the commitment to clean energy continues to grow in the European Union.
The EU co-legislators, namely the European Parliament and the Council, are currently working to resolve one of the biggest obstacles to new clean energy projects — electricity grids.
Electricity distribution grids are struggling to keep pace with the rapid implementation of new renewable energy projects, which constitutes a significant challenge for European climate objectives.
