Real Clube Nogueirense celebrated its 50th anniversary last weekend at a ceremony that brought together members, former players, and local personalities. The club, founded in 1974, marked this milestone as an important moment in its history within municipal sport.
During the quinquennial commemoration ceremony, the club's president, João Pinto, took the opportunity to issue a challenge to the Municipality of Oliveira de Azeméis. The request relates to the need for the construction of a new synthetic grass pitch at the club's facilities.
The request comes at a time when the club is experiencing significant growth in its sports development programmes. Currently, Real Clube Nogueirense has around 110 children and young people distributed across the various youth categories, which has been putting pressure on the existing facilities.
With this new synthetic pitch, the club aims to address the increased demand for youth development and ensure better conditions for training and competition for its young athletes, consolidating its role in promoting sport and developing young people in the municipality of Oliveira de Azeméis.
