End of World Cup 2030? Morocco guarantees it will be in Casablanca

SIC Notícias10 September 2026 at 16:07

Morocco has already chosen the stage it wants for the 2030 World Cup final. The African country wants the decisive match to be held in Casablanca, at the Hassan II Stadium, which is currently under construction.

However, FIFA has not yet confirmed where the decisive match of the 2030 World Cup will actually be played. The final decision on the location of the final is still pending.

The Hassan II Stadium is being built near Casablanca and is expected to have a capacity of 115,000 spectators, making it one of the largest stadiums in the world.

The construction is expected to be completed only at the end of 2027, which gives enough time for FIFA to analyze Morocco's request and make a decision on hosting the final.

On a free transfer: Olympiacos set to sign Mauro Icardi

Olympiacos is trying to sign the 33-year-old Argentine striker Mauro Icardi, who ended his contract with Galatasaray in Turkey. The Greek club intends to secure the player's signing at no transfer cost, taking advantage of the Argentine being a free agent after his contract with the Turkish club ended. This approach follows Olympiacos' strategy of strengthening their attack with experienced players without investment in transfers.
