Indra, a Spanish multinational in defense and advanced digitization, signed a 32.7 million euro contract with Adif, Spain's railway infrastructure manager, for the maintenance and support of systems and equipment operating at the Traffic Control Centers of the Spanish high-speed rail network. The contract has a duration of four years.
The project covers preventive and scheduled maintenance, system and equipment renewal, corrective maintenance, and incident response at facilities located in Madrid (Atocha, Delicias and Villaverde), Antequera, Albacete, and Zaragoza. From these centers, the entire high-speed network is controlled remotely and in real time.
Among the systems covered, the Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) and the Da Vinci system stand out, developed by Indra in partnership with Adif, which manages Spanish high-speed rail. This technology allows for operation optimization, improved network efficiency, increased available capacity, and enhanced safety and reliability levels.
The contract reinforces Indra's position as a supplier of critical systems for high-speed railway operation. The company already has international references in Lithuania, Estonia, and Saudi Arabia, where it recently renewed the maintenance and operation contract for the Mecca-Medina High-Speed Line systems for at least another five years. In Portugal, it has been operating since 1997 with more than one thousand professionals.
