The European Central Bank (ECB) raised interest rates for the second consecutive time. With this decision, the interest rate rose to 2.5%.
The market had already anticipated this decision, which was made in a context of accelerating inflation in the eurozone.
The main reason for the interest rate increase is related to the war in Iran, which has contributed to inflationary pressure in the region.
This is the second consecutive interest rate hike by the ECB, in an effort to curb inflation that has been rising significantly.
