The OECD unemployment rate fell to 4.9% in July, according to the published data. This reduction represents an improvement in the labor market of the member countries of the organization.
Outside the European Union, the scenario was heterogeneous among the countries analyzed. Colombia and Norway recorded declines in their unemployment rates during the same period.
