Ericeira – 35-year-old man arrested for drug trafficking

A 35-year-old man was arrested in flagrant delicto on September 8, in the municipality of Mafra, on suspicion of the crime of drug trafficking. The arrest was carried out by the Criminal Investigation Unit of Mafra, of the Territorial Command of Lisbon, following investigative procedures that allowed locating and intercepting the suspect in possession of narcotic products.

During the operation, nine cannabis plants in an advanced state of maturation and flowering were seized, 33 doses of cannabis, as well as various utensils intended for packaging and material to support the cultivation and storage of narcotics.

The man was made a defendant and the facts were sent to the Judicial Court of Sintra, according to the Guarda Nacional Republicana.

Judicial Police investigates stabbing death at a home in Olhão

The Judicial Police is investigating the death of a 43-year-old man, allegedly from stabbing, which occurred this Thursday inside a house in Olhão, in the Algarve. A second man, aged 50, was left in serious condition during the incident. Despite resuscitation efforts by the Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER), death was declared at the scene. Faro's PSP refused to provide details, referring to the PJ, which confirmed it has taken over the investigation of the case, involving a bladed weapon.
