The three and six-month Euribor reached highs since November 2024. This increase represents a new milestone for these European benchmark rates, which are widely used as the basis for interest calculations in loans and financial products throughout the euro zone.
The Euribor is set based on the average of the rates at which a group of 21 euro zone banks is willing to lend money to each other in the interbank market. This setting mechanism reflects the liquidity conditions and trust between the financial institutions of the region.
