On Sunday, September 13, rain is forecast in Portugal, with periods of light precipitation and very cloudy skies. The forecasts from the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) indicate variation in the weather throughout the day, with clear spells in some areas and increased cloud cover in others.
In the Azores, rain will affect the Western and Eastern groups at different times. In Flores and Corvo, precipitation is expected during the early morning and morning, with clear spells from the afternoon. The wind will blow from the southwest, between 5 and 20 km/h, later rotating to the northwest. In the Eastern group, comprising São Miguel and Santa Maria, periods of very cloudy skies with good clear spells are expected, but light rain should only appear towards the end of the day, with wind blowing from the east between 10 and 20 km/h.
In the Madeira archipelago, the sky should be generally partly cloudy, with no rain expected. The wind will blow from the northeast, light to moderate, between 10 and 30 km/h, possibly reaching 40 km/h in the eastern and western extremes of the island and in the highlands.
In mainland Portugal, Sunday will maintain warm weather, with partly cloudy or clear skies and a small rise in temperature, more significant in maximum values and on the west coast. The wind will generally be light from the east quadrant, temporarily blowing from the north or northwest along the western coastal strip during the afternoon. In the highlands, the wind should blow moderately, between 20 and 35 km/h, until mid-morning and again from late afternoon.
