The Council of Ministers approved a new continuous competition model that will allow placing teachers in schools every day starting September 18. The measure represents a significant change in the way teachers are hired and placed in the education system.
Starting next week, schools will have the possibility to hire teachers daily, ending the longer waiting periods that existed in the previous system. This change aims to respond more quickly to the schools' needs.
According to Minister Fernando Alexandre, this reform will significantly accelerate teacher placements. The official highlighted that one of the main objectives of the measure is to reduce the time students are left without classes due to the lack of teachers.
