The elderly people from a nursing home in Viana do Castelo returned during the day to the institution after a fire that required the transfer of the residents. The incident occurred in the aforementioned structure, causing the need for temporary relocation of the elderly.

Regarding the children from the daycare associated with the nursing home, they were transferred to another location during the emergency situation. Some of the children stayed home, while others were sent to rooms made available by the Carteado Mena school, which is near the institution.

The proximity of the Carteado Mena school allowed for an alternative space to be offered to accommodate some of the daycare children affected by the fire at the nursing home in Viana do Castelo.
