CLDS 5G Viseu Plural: Itinerários Inclusivos promotes between September 15 and 30 a set of initiatives to support informal caregivers in Viseu, within the scope of the Rede Comunidade Mais Cuidadora (More Caring Community Network), with free entry. The program includes the DESAIO exhibition, with 16 photography and video works on display in spaces in the Parish of Viseu and at FNAC Viseu, a documentary with the same name, and two discussion sessions open to the public on September 17 and 24. The curation is by Romulus Neagu and the photography, video and documentary are by Tomás Pereira.

The initiative results from work with participants in the #ID Memória Futura project and has production by CLDS 5G Viseu Plural, support from INTRUSO cultural association and partnerships with Obras Sociais de Viseu and the Centro de Apoio à Pessoa com Alzheimer e outras Demências. On September 18, the 2nd Meeting with Informal Caregivers will also be held at the Higher School of Health of Viseu, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with mandatory prior registration, including a collaborative game about health, caregivers' rights, emotional management, self-care and support networks.

The Rede Comunidade Mais Cuidadora is aimed at all caregivers, regardless of age, health condition or situation of the person being cared for. As September is World Alzheimer's Disease Month, the Network joins the initiatives of the Dementia-Friendly Community, in line with the global campaign of Alzheimer's Disease International.

José Carreira, president of the Board of Obras Sociais de Viseu, highlighted that building local care ecosystems requires coordination between caregivers, people being cared for, public services, institutions and the community, advocating for an integrated, proximity-based and person-centered response.
