Yemeni Houthi Shiite rebels took control of the city of Mokha on the Red Sea. A Yemeni government source confirmed the capture of the port city. The rebels were advancing toward the key strait of Bab el-Mandeb.
Witnesses said they saw rebel forces entering the city "shouting death to America, death to Israel," according to the France-Presse news agency.
The advances by the Iran-backed rebels follow bombings by the Saudi-led coalition, which supports the Yemeni Government.
