The Regional Government of the Azores concluded the hearings for the Plan and Budget of the Region for 2027, after consulting social and economic partners. During these consultations, partners requested more investment and financing for the next year.
On Wednesday, the president of the Regional Government of the Azores, José Manuel Bolieiro, met with AICOPA (Association of Civil Construction and Public Works Industries of the Azores). At the meeting, AICOPA defended a new investment phase for the post-RRP (Recovery and Resilience Plan) period.
The association warned of the need to guarantee continuity in regional investments after the conclusion of the RRP, highlighting the importance of maintaining the pace of economic development in the Azores. The civil construction and public works sector was highlighted as fundamental for boosting the regional economy.
