A man was arrested in Covilhã on suspicion of having stolen goods worth 2,000 euros from a store. The suspect waited for the customers to leave the establishment before acting.

The robbery was captured by the store's video surveillance system. The images allowed identifying the method used by the thief.

The man entered the commercial establishment and took advantage of a moment when there were no customers to commit the robbery. The stolen goods had an estimated value of 2,000 euros.

The authorities managed to identify the suspect through the images from the store's security cameras. The case is now under investigation by the competent authorities.

The Public Ministry and the Civil and Military Police of São Paulo launched on Thursday (10) operation Frank Mobile against a gang suspected of stealing, robbing, tampering with and reselling stolen cell phones across the country.
