Influencers Pressured to Hide Paid Contracts

ZAP Notícias10 September 2026 at 07:30

Brands are pressuring content creators and influencers not to identify sponsored posts on social media. The practice aims to hide paid commercial partnerships but conflicts with advertising transparency rules and raises concerns about consumer trust.

A study conducted by SheSpeaks for Business Insider reveals that 18% of the 365 creators surveyed say they received, in the last year, an explicit request not to disclose a commercial partnership.

The phenomenon was reported by creators of different sizes, covering influencers from various levels of size and popularity on social media.
