The president of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Edson Fachin, ordered the suspension of any procedure that may represent an investigation against Court ministers. By the decision, these cases should be sent to the court's presidency for prior analysis.
Fachin issued the decisions this Wednesday with the aim of cooling the existing tension between Ministers Alexandre de Moraes and André Mendonça, who were starring in a clash in the Court.
The suspension of new procedures occurs after Ministers André Mendonça and Alexandre de Moraes took decisions pointing out alleged irregularities against each other, raising the internal conflict climate in the court.
Last week, Mendonça removed the seal from a Federal Police (PF) document that reported messages sent by banker Daniel Vorcaro to Moraes. In reaction, Moraes took some measure not specified in the article.
