The secretary-general of the PS, José Luís Carneiro, today criticized the Government's agricultural diesel support measure until the end of the year. During his statements, Carneiro accused the executive of following a logic of "giving with one hand and taking away with two" regarding this matter.
The socialist politician specifically referred to the fact that the Government keeps 400 million euros within the scope of this agricultural sector support policy. The criticism arises in the context of the debate on support measures for Portuguese farmers.
This is not the first time the PS has attacked the agricultural policy of the executive led by Prime Minister Montenegro.
