A dog named Quino participated in rescue missions in Venezuela, following a double earthquake that caused at least 6,509 deaths. The animal returned home, in Valencia, Spain, but fell ill about 48 hours after its arrival. After two months, veterinarians have still not been able to identify the disease affecting Quino. The case has raised concern about the possible causes of the dog's illness, which may be related to exposure to substances during the rescue missions.
