The Federal Police summoned current Central Bank President Gabriel Galípolo and former President Roberto Campos Neto to testify as witnesses in Operation Compliance Zero, which investigates financial fraud involving Banco Master. Also summoned were BTG Pactual owner André Esteves and BC Supervisory Director Ailton Aquino.
The four were mentioned in the testimony of former Central Bank Supervisory Director Paulo Sérgio Souza, who is investigated for allegedly receiving bribes from banker Daniel Vorcaro to favor Banco Master. According to the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo, which published the information and had it confirmed by Globo, the names of the four individuals were mentioned in the investigations examining the alleged irregularities in the liquidation of Banco Master by the Central Bank.
