The Federal Police launched, on the morning of this Wednesday (09/09), an operation to investigate publications with Nazi apology on social media. The action was carried out in partnership with the Federal Public Ministry and executed two search and seizure warrants in the city of Valença, located in the interior of the state of Rio de Janeiro.
The investigation began from the monitoring of a profile on the X platform (formerly Twitter), identified by the PF as responsible for the recurring publication of Nazi content. During the searches, the investigators seized a computer and a cell phone from the targets of the operation.
The confiscated electronic equipment will undergo criminal forensic examination, which should analyze the content of the publications and possible involvement of the suspects with far-right groups. The authorities have not yet disclosed the identity of the targets of the search warrants.
