The essential food basket in Portugal rose to 255.26 euros. This value represents a significant increase in the cost of basic food products.
Since the beginning of the year, the essential basket has increased by 13.43 euros, reflecting the growing trend of food prices in the country.
Compared to four years ago, the same basket cost 35.99% less, which demonstrates the accumulated impact of food inflation over the past few years.
The products that recorded the highest price increases in the last week were mackerel, zucchini, and tuna, contributing to the increase in the total cost of the food basket.
