IPMA shared an interview with the head of the weather forecasting and surveillance division, Jorge Ponte, to TVI about an episode of meteorological instability that affected Albergaria-a-Velha on Saturday, September 5.

Jorge Ponte explained that the observed phenomenon was the development of a cloud with great vertical development, which subsequently caused large-sized hail to fall.

The interview was given to the television station TVI and aimed to clarify the meteorological conditions that caused the episode of bad weather in the Albergaria-a-Velha region.
