José Santiago Gonçalves, a nine-year-old pilot from Braga, was crowned winner of the fifth and final round of the Toyota Portuguese Karting Championship (CPK), in the Cadet category. The competition took place at the International Karting Circuit of Braga, his hometown track.
The young pilot repeated the victory achieved in the previous round, held in Baltar, demonstrating consistency and skill throughout the last two races of the championship. Gonçalves again won both the Pre-Final and the Final, consolidating his performance in the competition.
This victory represents the pilot's second consecutive win in the current season of the championship, demonstrating remarkable progress in the Cadet category, aimed at young pilots at the start of their karting careers.
