The Valencian Generalitat, through the Generalitat de Sanidad, has put into operation a new service called Acompaña, which is available 24 hours a day and every day of the year to carry out proactive follow-up of people at high risk of suicide or who have made previous attempts.
The service also provides support to the families of people at risk, as well as to the families of people who have died by suicide. Acompaña has the capacity to assist 6,300 people annually and has an investment of 13.5 million euros over a four-year period.
This resource represents an initiative by the Valencian Generalitat to reinforce suicide prevention and psychological follow-up of the most vulnerable people, offering a continuous and specialized support line for those who need it.
