The United States Ambassador to Portugal, John Joseph Arrigo, traveled to Madeira on Wednesday to meet with the President of the Regional Government.
During the visit, the American diplomat spoke to journalists and paid tribute to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, which claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 people.
John Arrigo stated that the United States "do not give in, do not break, and never forget," emphasizing that the memory of the victims, firefighters, and first responders remains present daily, and not just on the anniversary date of the attacks.
