The Municipality of Santa Maria da Feira signed this Tuesday, September 8, the first Collective Agreement for Public Employer (ACEP) with the four union structures representing the workers: STAL, SINTAP, STFP Centro and SITOPAS. The agreement was formalized by the mayor, Amadeu Albergaria, and by representatives of the four union organizations, culminating a negotiation process developed between the Municipality and worker representatives.
The ACEP updates various labor relation matters, including reducing experimental periods from 180 to 120 days for technical assistants and from 240 to 180 days for senior technicians. The agreement also provides for increasing the annual supplementary work limit from 150 to 200 hours and increasing union activity time credit from 12 to 15 monthly hours.
The mayor, Amadeu Albergaria, highlighted the importance of labor stability and the role of municipal workers in the municipality's response capacity. He stated that Santa Maria da Feira has grown in its competencies and the services it provides to the population, emphasizing that the workers are competent, diligent and know the territory.
The agreement was signed in a context where municipalities have taken on new competencies and integrated thousands of workers from the Central Administration. The Collective Agreement for Public Employer will take effect after its publication in the Labor and Employment Bulletin.
