Deolane Bezerra, a digital influencer and lawyer imprisoned since May during Operation Vérnix in Barueri, São Paulo, sent a letter to her mother, Solange Bezerra, published on Tuesday (8) on her mother's Instagram. In the letter, Deolane claims to be a "promised child," denies the accusations made against her, and assures that she is doing well in prison, maintaining her faith. She wrote that she needs her mother's opinion to understand how the situation is being viewed from the outside.
Deolane was imprisoned on suspicion of money laundering for the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC), a Brazilian criminal organization. In the letter, she states that "the nightmare will pass" and includes messages of hope, such as "with God acting, no one will stop it" and "Heavenly Father does not abandon His own." The influencer reinforces that she remains steadfast in her faith and believes the situation is coming to an end.
The case has generated other revelations, including defense claims about panic attacks, cold food, and scorpion infestation in prison, which were rebutted by the Public Ministry. Additionally, a former housekeeper revealed that Deolane lived with large sums of money scattered throughout the house. The defense has been seeking Deolane's transfer to house arrest, but the MP has been contesting the conditions alleged by the defense.
